Server Hosting Upgrade

We have been considering recently either getting an upgrade of the current servers hardware or move to a new host in an attempt to make further improvements to performance and increase the ability to sustain stability at high user loads.
We have ended up changing over to a new host and have brand new and improved dedicated servers as a result, with hardly any difference made to our monthly server budget.
New server specifications (Both of our 2 new servers):
- Dual Processor Quad Core Xeon 5335 CPU (Clovertown)
- 4 GB FB-DIMM 533/667 RAM
- 1000 Mbps Network
The main improvements we will the CPU will now have 8 cores instead of 4 previously, and our network bandwidth will now allow up to 1000 mbps compared to a 100 mbps link before. This will enable us to be able to cope better with high user loads and with a setup like this there should not be really any reason for latency issues with the server.
